Welcome to my Doula web site and congratulations on becoming pregnant!
My name is Helen Sassoon and I am a qualified Birth Doula, a member of Doula UK and the Herts Doulas group. I am committed to helping women have the best birth experience they can, so that they can go on to enjoy their babies, and feel confident as women, mothers and wives.

Research has shown that having a Doula with you at the births of your babies gives you great advantages:

A research paper from the University of Hull, 2008, entitled: “Volunteer Doulas for Women in a Sure Start Area; what does the service mean to them?” by J. Green, showed the following:
“The study reaffirms that one to one care enhances the birth experience”, and “it has been shown to be beneficial”.
